BIOGRAPHY
Tait Alexander
Born in Florida, January 87.
Sun Aquarious, Moon Aquarious.
Resides in Venice Beach, California since 2007.
Previous Projects: Ahkiyyini, The Sleepy Owl <3 Tribe
His first instrument was the viola in middle school. When he started high school he moved on to trumpet, when he formed his first ska band. He eventually picked up his fathers acoustic guitar and the rest is history.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and immediately was submersed into the psychedelic art movement. It was a match. While attending film school, he began jamming and growing with members of Insects Vs Robots, Jeffertitti's Nile, and Particle Kid.
After leaving his career in the film industry to search for a life with more adventure, Tait set off traveling around the world in a gypsy van. When he returned to California, he pursued a simple life as a mountain man, living in isolation in the Redwoods. After years of soul searching, he returned to his beach home, a converted garage in Venice Beach to devote himself to music. He has opened up for Akron/Family, Acid Mothers Temple, Master Musicians of Bukkake, and The Entrance Band.
He uses his certification in hypnotherapy and deep understanding of plants as medicine to create new modalities of healing as well as transcendental music. He views trance as a pathway to union with The One, The Most High, or Christ Consciousness.
His political views are fundamentally anarchist. His "religious" views are an unusual blend of mysticism and Christianity. His primary values lie in authenticity, unconditional love, truth, courage, and kindness.
Tait currently lives in his van and can be found moseying the isles of the health food markets, dancing naked in the mud at music festivals, or running on the beach barefoot in short shorts. He works as a DJ, a shaman, and sells tea for a local company (Seven Teas).
Formed in the winter of 2016

Rick started piano at a young age and later moved to guitar. He began building The Barn Music Studio in 2003, when he began to focus more on engineering.
He began recording local bands during his spare time, such as Jefertitti, Tracy Bryant, and Froth. As he grew into his craft he started to do the live sound for Desert Daze and Moon Block Parties. He even recorded the music for the SAG Awards (09-11) and The Golden Globe Awards runway music. He has worked as an assistant engineer and tech at Evergreen Studios and Mad Dog Studios. He worked assistant engineer to Gary Lux and James Salter, as well as assistant recording engineer to Gene Shively.
He joined the band Corners in 2011 during the Beyond Way album, putting out 5 records and extensively touring Europe and the States. Their song was recently placed in the film Glass. They have opened for The Growlers, King Gizzards and the Lizard Wizard, Thee Oh Sees, Tijuana Panthers, and The Entrance Band.
He stepped away from engineering full time to focus only on music projects he is passionate about. When he isn't recording music with Chakra 8, he can be found in his happy place, his garden and greenhouse.
